I found your site through your AMAZING LETTER to your daughter (thank you Jessica/Feministing) when doing research for a piece inspired by a confession on my truuMOMconfessions website. A mom asked the community to help her figure out if 12 years old was too young for a first vibrator (only part of the question/confession really) and needless to say, moms came out swinging on both sides - some shocked (and repulsed by the mere notion of a tween with a sex toy), others open to helping along their daughter's sexual exploration. I think the letter you wrote was beautiful and appropriate and something that I'm not sure I could say (blush, blush, blush and probably cry/laugh at the same time) but I have no doubt my wise and thoughtful daughter (only 11 but I can see where she's headed) would appreciate immensely. I'm printing it and putting in away for safe keeping. Hopefully she won't find it (or my vibrator) before I'm ready to give it to her.
